Five classes for ages 4–15, taught through story, scripture, and Hindi language — every Sunday morning at ISKCON Los Angeles, New Dwarka, from September 13, 2026 through June 13, 2027.

The Program

Five classes, one Sunday morning

Every class meets for 36 Sundays and follows its own reference book. Open “Read the full class handout” on any class below for the complete, director-approved description — the same one-pager shared with registering families.

Gopal
11:30 am–12:30 pm
Ages 4–7

Bhagavad-Gītā, taught through stories, songs, and crafts

Building on last year’s foundation, children continue their journey into Krishna consciousness through storytelling, songs, crafts, and hands-on activities — meeting Krishna’s most beloved stories and the Gītā’s most-quoted verses in playful, age-appropriate ways.

  • Favorite Krishna-conscious stories: Dhruva Maharaja, Narasimha, Bharata Maharaja, Ajamila, Sudama, and more
  • Songs, crafts, and activities designed for ages 4–7
  • By year’s end, every child can share a simple piece of what they’ve learned with others

Ages 8–11

“Basics of Bhagavad-Gita: A Thematic Study”

Damodara class explores the Bhagavad-Gita through its seven core themes — God, the Soul, Karma, Material Nature and Time, the Forms of Yoga, and how to live it all out in daily life. Discussion, activities, and short verse references build a real, working understanding, not just memorization.

Ages 12–15

Bhagavad-Gita As It Is, chapter by chapter

Our most advanced class takes a full journey through Bhagavad-Gita As It Is, all 18 chapters over the year, paired with the same thematic companion book used in Damodara class to connect philosophy to practice. Teens memorize key verses, engage in real discussion, and build the confidence to discuss Krishna consciousness with peers, family, or skeptics.

Ages 4–7

Playful, oral-first Hindi foundations

A playful, mostly-oral introduction to Hindi for our youngest learners, building on whatever Hindi children already hear at home. Expect songs, picture and vocabulary games, and story listening, with light letter-tracing introduced later in the year.

  • Hindi vowels, common consonants, and vocabulary through songs & play
  • 8–10 vocabulary themes: family, food, animals, colors, and more
  • A few simple conversational phrases by year’s end

Ages 8–12

Structured Hindi reading, writing & conversation

A structured path into Hindi reading, writing, and conversation — from letters and matras to real word-building, simple sentences, and everyday conversation. Vocabulary and conversational Hindi are woven into every unit rather than saved for the end.

  • Full letter & matra progression toward independent reading
  • Word-building from 2-letter to 4-letter, matra-heavy words
  • Basic grammar, sentence formation, and everyday conversation practice
  • Culminates in each child reading a short passage or holding a simple conversation for parents
